We started at the parking lot the directions take you to. It was not too difficult to find. Follow the directions not the signs. It was mostly uphill to the Round mountain trail meet up. A decent mix the rest of the way.
I have been mountain biking for about 2 months but have rode dirt bikes the majority of my life so I do consider myself a fairly good rider. I recommended to a few of my buddies who have been riding MTB for the majority of their lives we check out this trail because it was an IMBA epic trail.
THIS TRAIL IS NOT EPIC! If you can maintain riding in a skinny bike lane you can ride this trail. While clocking 30 mph on its downhills like we did I would not recommend for beginners anyone can ride this trail. While yes the previously expressed fact that you will most likely die if you slip off of the edge is real the trail is smooth and at its skinniest maybe 18' inches wide. There we a few parts a little more sketchy due to trail slants none of it was THAT bad.
The views are to die for. If you are in to MTB for view I have not been many places that could stand with the views this one has to offer. If you are into MTB for jumps, technical riding, or going fast I would recommend Tyrolean or Mr. Toads.
