Trail Description
About this trail
Very fast and fun single track maintained by Ocala Mountain Bike Association. It has a main yellow loop with good flow and blue options throughout. This is an intermediate trail due to it's speed and some tight spaces. It is very shaded and there are some amazing trees throughout. The Red section is steep with some fast switchbacks and sudden drops. Lots of fun with a little of something for most. If you go to the Lincoln community park and go to the dog park the trail entrance is on the far end.

Review: First MTB ride in Florida. Wasn't expecting much having ridden Moab, Park City, and regularly riding in the foothills north of Atlanta. Thought trails were well maintained given the sandy and rooty conditions. Felt they were easier than their stated rating. The trail builders maxed out the distance in a relatively small amount of space. The downside is near constant turning with little opportunity for much flow or speed. Would certainly ride again.

Review: My second ride at Mt. Dora. Perfect day, comfortably cool. Just a couple observations, there is good parking, but I am cautious of parking on the baseball field side of the parking lot. Never know if there is batting practice after you head out. Speaking of cautious, if you prefer to avoid port-a-potties, there are one person bathrooms at the concession stand at the far side of the ball fields. Just big enough to bring your bike in with you.

Review: Mt Dora is one of the close trails to me from the Orlando area. It is not a big trail but offers some really good technical areas. I try to get out there about once a week. Conditions a good this time of year but the Red areas are still down from repairs due to the hurricane. Great ride, one of my favorites.

Review: Got to ride the Mt. Dora Trail for the first time today and it was impressive. I did not expect the long decents and quad burning long gradual climbs. I found the blue trails to be very technical with tight turns and close trees to thread. The blues here seem harder than the blues at Santos (imho). I gave the park a 4 due to there being more sand than I would have liked. Thank you OMBA for the skill course, nice touch.

Review: They've added new stuff since my last visit. Couple new wood features in Gravity Destroyer and cleaned up a lot of the erosion. The path down to the main loop is MUCH cleaner now. Overall, still a great place to ride.

Review: Hey, its pretty good. The only place in florida I can say has a bunch of really good downhill. A blast to hit the main trail down. Helter skelter was totally trashed and unrideable, with trees in the middle of the trail. Come on, OMBA. Pick It Up! Anyways, the place was great, short but very sweet. Skills park was fun, better than the one at Santos i think.Trails like chicken biscuit and extra crispy had me pumping and flying through every corner. OMBA did a good job with this one. My apologies for dirt berm damage. Fix helter skelter, and I'll book my next trip. All in all, fun trails, ride it!

Review: The initial descent into the main trail is a blast. It is pristinely maintained with 2 fairly large wooden berms follwed by more clay berms. Very flowy and easy to get a lot of speed. The rest of the trail has a decent amount of elevation change for Florida with a couple nice climbs with flowy, bermed descents. Not really anywhere to get air but this isn't that kind of trail. Harry Scary branches off the main trail and has a somewhat climb after a tight switchback. The skills area has quite a few options to hone your balancing and skinnies skillz. Helter Skelter gets pretty rowdy and will test your climbing switchback skills. Overall lots of fun. I finish all trails in under 45 minutes and I am not all that fast. Great for a shorter day of riding.

Review: Have been to this trailhead in the past but was pleasantly surprised to see Helter Skelter was cleaned up and provided a beating to start off the day. Loved the up/down and trail is definitely for advanced folks. Would only hope that more burms and S curves be added in the future to this trail. You will go home tired but well worth the visit.

Review: I just moved here from Ohio and while I have ridden some really nice trails.....this one made me feel like I was home!! I HAVE ONE ISSUE: Perhaps it's just me. While I don't mind seeing horseback riders out enjoying the same beautiful scenery as I do on the trail, I do struggle with them being on the same trails. A couple things: poop gets slippery when you're going fast and hitting the switchback fast. And, the speed I am going versus the speed they are is bound to be a recipe for a collision and I am afraid the biker is going to take the greatest loss. However, my greatest beef (because the horseback riders that I encounter were very courteous in yielding to the bikers) is the fact that they were riding their horses on the wooden obstacles and the Skills Park. ORBA did an excellent job of building this stuff super sturdy BUT - Are horses allowed to be on the trails and, mores so, on the obstacles??? If not, I would really be willing to pitch in for some signage.
