Mountain Biking Matthews State Forest Trail

The parking area is located on White Pine Rd. Follow the fire rd approximately 1/4 mile to the start of the singletrack on the left. The trail is well marked and easy to follow. There are a few exits, but the trail is essentially a loop. It can be ridden in either direction, but is only marked in the primary direction. There is one technical section consisting of two rock gardens, very nearly back to back and can easily feel like one long rock garden. The remainder of the trail is very friendly to most novice mountain bikers, but never fails to challenge.

Start out heading West on 58 towards Independence. Turn left on Meadow Creek Road. Turn Right on White Pine Road. The parking lot is on top of the hill on the right hand side of the road.
