I read in one of these previous reviews that this is where the UNH MTB Team trains and I drive by it oon a weekly basis while working and have always been curious. There are two sides to this place and it is a great place to train.
First there is the easy stuff. There is nothing technical or difficult about the access roads but you can really get some speed and put together some loops for distance.
On the left side either follow the single track along the tall wire fence after the first left, or find the trail head by Town Hall, you will find a large steep hill. This is the gem of Kingman Farms. Awesome climbs and decents down and around all sides of this hill. Well built berms, and switch backs twist and turn thru tight New Hampshire single track peppered with rock gardens and roots galore!
It's not big but you can spend the better part of a day exploring or that same space of time rippin up and down the hill. Ride it don't slide it!
I did not encounter anyone on the hill, but several dog walkers on a brisk wet December Monday at around noon thru ought the rest of the Farm. They are as hardcore about their dog walks as I am about my ride.
I gave it a 3 only because of size, closeness to civilization, and none destinational feeling. Also the trails are not well marked, but its not that kind of place. Riding here on a regular basis will make you a better rider. It was a lot of fun once I figured out the best flow up, down and then up again.
I may have found a reason to take my bike to work more often.
Thanks to the locals for the great trails guys!
