Review: Homestead Trail is clearly an urban trail. As such, for mountain biking it should receive a low rating. However, as a city resource and a connecting trail to other mountain bike trails, like Palmer Park or High Chaparral Open Space, it is a fun little ride through our city. There are various singletrack social trails along it route to play on. Homestead makes for a good option when all our local mountain bike trails are too wet to ride. To get some good miles in when everything is too wet, you can make a nice loop out of Homestead, Cottonwood Creek, Santa Fe and Rock Island trails.
