Mountain Biking Hobbit's Hideaway
#17 of 40 mountain bike trails in New Zealand
This is a wide and gentle connecting track that would be unremarkable except that it was used during the filming of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Apparently this was the location where the Hobbits hid while being chased by Ringwraiths.
Both ends of this track are clearly signposted.
