#19 of 87 mountain bike trails in Kansas

Trails are both existing and under construction. Mostly wooded, fast, rolling, non-technical trails with relatively easy climbs and descents and nearly two miles of trail that runs along the Marmaton River.

Nice little bit of singletrack tucked into the woods around a small lake and adjoining park. Nothing fancy and nothing crazy, just a nice cruise.

awesome trail. The builders are always making new additions as well as maintaining the trails. Its a little over 8 miles of trail if you run the trail right. Some of the trails might be confusing on where to go but if you just start riding you will find the whole loop. It has about everything you want. they have technical climbing and riding, rock gardens, downhill jump line, flow trails and even a pump track. There's a lot packed in these trails. right when you pull in and see the gate, just past the pump track, you can park on the left and see a trail map on what the trails are. Mostly intermediate and easy riding. To check trail conditions, go to "Gunn Park Trails" on facebook and they usually do a good job updating trail conditions. Awesome trails and a hidden gem in kansas.

Gunn Park is on the West side of Fort Scott. Trails are easy to locate, but not really a noted direction. There are junctions, not marked as per which trail goes where.
Great workout, some rocky area where I walked instead of rode.
Trails range from easy to medium.
If you bring the family, they'll enjoy the park while you get sweaty. Not a crowded place on a nice saturday afternoon.

This was a great ride! had some trouble navigating the trail. Had no indication that the trail started at the park entrance or on the rock in the slue. I missed out on four miles of the trail due to lack of trail markers. I did like the bridges with the wire mesh and the built up trail with the logs along the ridges. The trail was well groomed. Picked up two thorns in the back tire. It hard to change a flat at 2 degrees. Need to try this one again. Nice job !

A really fun and fast trail, heavy on the flow, with a few small rocky areas, tight turns, and small climbs to add challenge. Regularly maintained and expanded.

This is my Local trail and I've put a lot of man hours into it. Designed to be fast and flowy with technical parts here and there, I do wish we'd had more hills and terrain to work with. With an easy 6 mile loop its easy to get mileage in with out pounding pavement! My typical is a lap forwards then backwards as it rides very differently depending on direction.

Relatively new trails, with good flow, some short climbs, and well maintained in a great small town park. Yes Toto, we are still in Kansas.

Who knew you could pull off a road in E KS and find some really good single track. They have an active trail building community. (ran into some on the trail) so it's groomed and nice. the S loop is a bit hilly with a lot of nice flow. N loop makes it's way into the river valley then has some relativly flat land. There's some gr8 flow throughout. It's kinda networky so that you can make about any size loop you want, and they're up to over 6 miles of trail.
