Mountain Biking Grand Lake Rec Trails
#952 of 1,379 mountain bike trails in Colorado
Narrow, tight, twisty singletrack that will challenge your technical skills. These trails aren't for speed, they are for technical riding with trees lining the trails, logs to jump over and rocks to negotiate around. The River Trail, which is approximately 2 miles long, will take you to a bridge over the Colorado River (great lunch spot). The Maze Trail is a tight twisty trail with a lot of rock challenges. There are several other trails, not all named in the system but well marked. You can easily spend a few hours exploring all the trails.

From the Grand Lake Visitor's Center at the intersection of Highway 34 and West Portal Road (entrance to Grand Lake), travel north on Highway 34 for a short distance and to County Road 48 (on the left hand side). Follow CR48 for approximately 1 mile to the trailhead parking lot on the left. An alternative would be to park at the Visitor's Center and bike to the trailhead as done on the attached map.
