Trail Description
About this trail
The trails are pretty flat with only some minor elevation changes. However, the trails are still fun, especially at high speeds. There are a few good jumps on the trail and some tighter, more technical sections as well. Trails are very well maintained, but often in the spring parts of the trail can be flooded. There is hardly ever any traffic on the singletrack; not too many people mt bike around Cedar Falls. The trails are a bunch of short, interconnected trails that can be strung together in many different combinations. Once you get to know the trails, they can be ridden with a minimal amount of riding on the paved trails.

Keep an eye out for deer, especially around dusk; you're bound to see some wildlife!

Review: Very nice trail ride around the river and back on the other side. Fairly flat green trail with very minimal technical features. Still a fun ride at the park.

Review: Nice flowing trail. Not very well signposted in sections. nice and fast with no climbing whatsoever. is a challenge to keep your speed up but much more fun if you can.

Review: Trails are flat and flow very well. There are trails on both sides of the river. If you start at Phifer park off Grand boulevard you can go to either side of river and make loop combinations. There are some interesting sections. www.cedarfalls.com/index.aspx?NID=204

Review: Very good trails to ride, they are fairly easy but there can be some tricky spots. It shows the difficulty of the trails as you go along and at the head of the trails.

Review: Aw man, classic Iowa river bottoms singletrack... fast, flowy, fun! I can see by the photos that I am overdue to visit as more trails and features have been added in recent years. Thank you CVAST and Bike Tech!

Review: Love this park! Great trails. Well maintained. Mix of gravel, dirt, sand, rock, roots. Fast and flowy. The local bike shop, Bike Tech, hosts a weekly group ride ever Wednesday at 6:15. All ages. Worth a trip!

Review: As described, the trails are disconnected. some are overgrown and I think closed. The maps posted around(and online) are limited in accuracy. The main trail I found over on the W end was really sweet, easy trail. Lots more then just the bike trails out there, swimming, fishing, picnic grounds and camping.
