About this trail
Complex trail system with numerous interconnected trails. This trail system is the home of the classic Galena Grinder cross country race. The trails include multiple flow trails, lots of single track, old roads, and two trails that come down from the top of Galena pass for about 7 miles for an epic downhill to the lodge.

Review: This is a great network of trails with easy access. Most of the trails are relatively beginner friendly with amazing scenery. Still a great ride!

Review: Great network of professionally built trails, easily accessible from the highway and the Galena Lodge. These trails flow really well and are a good choice for riders of all abilities.

Review: I only really rode the flow trail and it was a fun, if overly beginner-friendly, flow trail. I would have appreciated more amplitude on both jumps and berms.

Review: There are more than 20 trails in the Galena system. Generally, they are cross-country trails, weak on technical features. I rode up Gladiator and down Rip and Tear on my first loop. Gladiator is not good climbing singletrack but Rip and Tear was fun on the way back down. I rode the Grinder from east to west. The eastern half was a little exhilarating on the down-slope sections. The western half is just an easy climb on an old fire road. I didn't ride the Lower Grinder Trail. Next I rode down the Psycho Ridge Trail which is a little schizophrenic - it starts out gentle and easy but then gets steeper and more technical. I didn't ride the 6 mile long Spring Creek Trail.

Review: A huge trail system with trails ranging from steep, loose, and rocky to super fast, flowing downhill with optional air time.
