#228 of 1,005 mountain bike trails in California
#3,029 in the world

http://bayarearides.com/rides/repack2/ has info. This loop features the best of Marin. Blast through the forests of Endor a Tamarancho Camp, find beautiful views on the ridges of the Coastal Range, and finally blast through mountain bike history on Repack. From the bike shop go North on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. Take a soft left on to Olema Road and continue until you hit Manor Road. From Manor Road take a left. Turn right on Rockridge Road and Continue. Turn left onto Rock Springs Road. From here continue until you get to the trailhead of the Tamarancho Camp Trails (Alchemist). Iron Springs Road is a nice warm up that winds through the foothills of Mount Tam and has beautiful Flora. Here, take a map for the trails, and make sure you have a pass for the Tamarancho trails, which you can get at Sunshine Bike Shop for $5. Turn onto the Alchemist Trail, which is a sucker punch after the winding climb to the trail. It climbs relatively abruptly to the loop. At intersection J1, turn right onto the Goldman Trail. The Goldman trail consists of more climbing, and ends at J8 and a beautiful look out. At J8 follow the sign to the singletrack across the road, and rocket down Broken Dam Trail. After crossing a bridge, you climb to an intersection. If you turn right, you end up in the same place, it's just a longer way. Continue on the Broken Dam Trail, but watch out, because it takes a hairpin urn while you're riding doubletrack. If you miss it, you'll end up at the bottom of the downhill only trail, Endor. Once you hit the intersection J5, take a right onto the B-17 Extension Trail, and continue to the White Hill Fire Road. Now you are out of the Tamarancho System and on double track, but it is good double track. Continue on White Hill Fire Road a long ways, traversing chunder, serious climbs and descents, and great view until you get to Cascade Canyon Road (Repack). Barreling down this road is fun whether you hate double track or not. IT'S FAST. When you get to Cascade Creek, take a right and cross the wooden bridge. Now continue on the road, crossing Cascade creek a couple times, until you get to the paved road. Head down Cascade road until you reach Bolinas Road, and Continue onto Bolinas Road, which should be straight ahead. At the end Bolinas Road, you should be very near to your starting point.
