Mountain Biking Ellice

  Add a review
#380 of 387 mountain bike trails in New Zealand
#32,157 in the world

Narrow, steep, and root-infested little piece of single track that drops down through the trees from Hataitai to City track to the top of Ellice Street.
The top of the track isn't well defined. From the sign post on Hataitai to City track, head straight down the hill for a few metres and then turn sharply left down a steep little section. From there the track is more clearly defined, levelling out somewhat as it bumps along over lots of tree roots.
Near the lower end you'll emerge from the trees onto the edge of an open grassy area. At that point there is a gas pumping station and the track surface changes to be a sealed path. Follow the path and then turn down on to the road that ends at a steel barrier at the top of Ellice Street.
