Mountain Biking Dunes Trail
⚠ Heads up: Trail access may be temporarily restricted due to COVID-19.
#245 of 415 mountain bike trails in New Zealand
#6196 in the world
The trail is an easy ride for all the family on a well surfaced track along sand dunes with the Pacific Ocean on one side and the rugged mountains of the East Cape on the other.
On a hot summer's day it's great to combine this trail with a swim.
You can go out and back, 20km all up, or you can arrange a shuttle to pick you up at the end.
It makes for a nice warm up for the more difficult Motu Road Trail.
