Trail Description
About this trail
Chuck Wagon was adopted for mountain biking in the spring of 2012. It incorporates the original Chuck Wagon trail with what was once known locally as "Gunslinger." It is laid out in the standard of modern mountain bike trail building and flows nicely. This trail winds its way up and down through a variety of different landscapes, a true display of Sedona's diversity. This trail is fun in both directions and could be ridden as an out and back, or can be linked to Mescal and Long Canyon to make a loop
It is now a new "must ride" for Sedona mountain biking. Do it! You'll like it!

Review: Super fun trail that connects to quite a few other trails. Intermediate trail friendly enough for beginners and fun enough for advanced riders. We connected to about a dozen other trails in the area in the following order (going counter clockwise across NW Sedona): Lizardhead, chuckwagon, mescal, yucca, long canyon, conayon of fools, anaconda, and two forks. There are so many other offshoots to other trail systems you can really mix it up however you like. Super scenic the entire way with some fun downhills into dry river beds and off massive red rocks. Some exposure, but not beyond an intermediate's skill level. Highly recommend and would totally ride again if I ever come back to Arizona!

Review: Not one of my favorites in the area, but it does have a few fun spots. There's really not a lot of places to just "let-r rip", seems like you're always climbing and the descents are covered with half buried rocks that always seem to be right in your line!

Review: Rode this trail early in the morning. Really enjoyed the variety of terrain and loved the way some sections were laid out. The route was generally easy to follow with adequate signage. Not too technical like some of the trails in Sedona.

Review: Awesome single track in Sedona! This was my first ride in Sedona. Started at Mescal trailhead and rode mescal, deadmans pass, long canyon and chuck wagon. Rode these in clockwise fashion and had a blast. Some fun down hills along with some short technical climbs.

Review: Wow, I was surprised how technical this blue trail was, lots of large boulders, drops, ledge riding, etc, I would have considered this more closely to a black trail. It's beautiful, but, a bit scary for me.

Review: Fantastic views, Fun relatively technical riding, doesn't get much better than Sedona, and this is one of my favorite trails in Sedona

Review: Good trail with some flowy singletrack and chunky rocks. While not my favorite in this area, it's still worth riding.

Review: This trail is a blast to ride. There are some techy areas, lots of shade and great views everywhere. We tied Mescal, Deadman and Long Canyon for a 10 mile loop.
