From Petoskey, head south on 131. Turn right onto the Walloon Junction heading towards Barrel Back restaurant/Walloon Lake. Follow 75 for a few miles then turn right onto S Shore Dr then left onto E Shadow Trail. Follow Shadow Trail to Erickson Rd. From there stay to the right and you will come upon the trail head which will be on your left.
