Mountain Biking Boot Hill

*   Add a review
#277 of 387 mountain bike trails in New Zealand
#16,976 in the world

The Boot Hill Trail is a loop that meanders up and along a slope overlooking Alexandra. It's promoted as a beginner/family ride but it is somewhat steeper and narrower than that and the switchbacks are quite sharp. It's a pleasant grade 3 track - not rich in MTB features but well worth a couple of loops. There are no signs so best to ride anticlockwise and go right at any forks you come to.

    I enjoyed a couple of loops of the Boot HIll track but there are not many trail features for a purpose built mountain bike trail and it doesn't fit the bill as a beginner/family track.
