Trail Description
About this trail
Sweet drops. Wicked lava fields. Easy cruisers. Awesome jumps. Is it any wonder Angel Fire Resort was asked to host the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup? Our challenging and virtually endless terrain has put us on the map as one of the country’s (okay, world’s) premier mountain biking destinations.

That doesn't mean you have to be hard-core to ride here. We’ve got trails that work for any level of rider. Whether you’re just starting out or an old hand at catching air and bagging peaks. (taken from angelfireresort.com)

Review: This is the second best downhill park I have ridden, after Highland. I drove 10 hours to get here and it was well worth it. The base is 8,000 feet with the peak at 10,600. The lift takes about 15 minutes to cover that. There are several different trail to pick from for all levels, most of the blue flow trails are great for beginner riders trying to improve their skills. The shop at the base has enough parts to keep you riding and some merch to show off where you've been. If you are in the area check it out. Best park in the South West.

Review: Damn. I didn't ride a ton here, but the few trails I did get a chance to rip were awesome. Think perfectly sculpted berms, big (but easy to roll) jumps, interesting wooden features, and drops for all skill levels. On the technical side of things, the trails are gnarly but not so gnarly that it is not enjoyable to ride them. The roughest rock gardens always have an established line if getting fancy isn't in the cards for that section. Enjoy!

Review: Awesome variety of trails, from super flowy downhills with huge berms to large wood features and technical rock (although not like Arizona technical rock). The dirt is nicely groomed and all the trails were well maintained, less a few soft spots where it wasn't packed in around corners.

Review: Excellent bike resort! The trails are well thought out, designed, cut, and maintained. There is definitely something here for everybody. It may take a few runs to make sense of the layout, but it is soooo well worth it. Best berms anywhere. Plenty of non-threatening jumps to cut your teeth on. Very progressive area, so it's a great place to learn and improve. Good bike shop on site with equipment rentals and lessons if desired. Very nice scenery too. Good food on site at the Sunset Grill. It's pretty hard to find fault with this place. There is also cross country riding as well.

Review: Great place! From what I've tried it's the best lift-assisted trails so far. There're trails for everyone and one day isn't enough to try it all.

Review: Amazing! Worth the trip, money, effort and time. This resort offers it all, a place to sleep, eat and shred! Several options on the trails for you to pick. Lift ticket is affordable, and after a short trip to the top you can pick your poison. Smooth and fast or blasting fast with big jumps and gaps! Several challenging obstacles for you to encounter. This is a must. If you are camping locally, shoot for South Boundary or the Taos ski trails as well.
