okay as an entry level bike for the money. fun to ride on streets and park trails. the rear free hub broke recently and a whole new wheel was bought due to discontinued part. Ouch! upgrades may be a necessity to keep it spinning.
My 2008 - 4300 silver / charcoal colour size 16 is a good fit as I am 5ft 6in tall . Mine has been heavily upgraded and is much better now than it was when in stock configuration . It is a great source of pleasure now .
It's a good bike for the most part. I ride really hard and this has caused me to have to replace nearly all the components other than the frame in a matter of 2 months. It's a beginner bike. Good only for street riding.
For beginners this is a good bike. I bought it several years ago as a hardtail addition to my fleet to ride with my wife. Eventually I upgrades components and repainted the frame. It is my hardtail go to bike. It's even lasted longer than my wife.ProsLong lasting frame!
CheapConsComponents but you get what you pay for.
I recommend this bike for anyone starting out in the sport who are unsure of whether or not they want to continue it. This bike will get you out on the trail, but if you like it enough to ride it several times a week, the components will not withstand the abuse.
Pros -Super affordable
-Great starter bike
Cons -The cheaper components didn't withstand regular, hard riding (several days a week)
This is my first mountain bike for trails, and i ride in chattanooga with pro riders with 3 thousand dollar bikes and all their fancy gear and i still stay with them- i have ran this hard tail hard! and it has only kept on riding! def reccomend this bike for anyone that wants to start Offroad biking with a bang!
