This was my first mtn bike when I started last spring. It took me everywhere I was ready to ride minus some more serious downhill riding sections, that as a previous reviewer stated they bottomed out their front suspension. I had to upgrade a few cheap stock components, (tires & pedals) for better grip & traction. Overall I'd suggest this bike to anyone who wants to get into mtn biking that doesn't have a lot of $$ saved up. I spent close to $600.

    Pros
Great starter bike with front & rear disk breaks & good gearing.

    Cons
I had to upgrade the stock pedals & tires for better grip & traction.

Great all round bike. Pounded it pretty hard on several trails in Boulder. No complaints except for front fork bottoming out too much. Absolutely recommend this bike for trail ready entry level bike.

    Pros
Rock solid frame. Decent component package out of the box.

    Cons
A little heavy for a hardtail. I have a Motobecane that cost less, has better component package and weighs 4 or 5 pounds less.

This is a great starter bike. I've upgraded mine many times over.

    Pros
It looks cool, and is very aggressive. It took a while to get used to the cockpit, but after mastering it, I find this to be a great bike.

    Cons
Handlebars were heavy and too thick for standard GPS and light attachments.
