Fuji isn’t a name that’s currently associated with the top levels of enduro mountain bike racing, but that could change in 2018. The company just announced the formation of the Fuji Factory Enduro Team, signing accomplished enduro riders Amy Morrison and Jimmy Smith.
Morrison is notable for reaching the podium in a number of big enduro races in 2017, including the Trans Costa Rica 4-day enduro, the Northstar Enduro, and the Mammoth Mountain Enduro. Jimmy Smith won the overall points competition for the 2017 National Enduro Series, reaching the podium at multiple stops along the way. Both racers will be competing for a top spot in this year’s EWS North American Series.
Fuji promises “a totally redesigned line of full-suspension bikes developed through three years of rigorous testing on the Enduro World Series circuit” this year. The company is known for producing “highly capable and affordable” mountain bikes based on the relatively new MLink suspension design. The Fuji Auric, introduced in 2015, is currently the only all-mountain / enduro bike in the company’s lineup, offering 160mm of MLink suspension travel.
