Watch: Reopening Virginia Key Bike Trails After Hurricane Irma

This video shows the hurricane damage done to the Virginia Key bike trail system, and highlights the incredible volunteer recovery effort to get the trails reopened.

This video from BlindstuffMTB shows the full extent of Hurricane Irma damage done to the Virginia Key mountain bike trail system in Miami, FL.  According to the video, about 80% of the Australian Pines in the park were knocked down, which meant an incredible amount of chainsaw work needed to be done. More than 100 volunteers supporting the Virginia Key Bicycle Club showed up over the course of 4 weekends, allowing the trail system to re-open on October 14.
