Less than one year after ceasing US operations, direct-to-consumer bike brand YT Industries is back. On their website, the Germany-based brand had been promising a return to the USA “soon,” and apparently today is the day.
“The United States has helped shape YT’s identity, and I’m excited to reconnect with our strong fan base,” said YT Industries founder and CEO, Markus Flossmann, in a press release announcing the return. “Our relaunch has taken longer than anticipated, but we needed to do it right. We own our past mistakes, and with this step, I’m confident we have a solid foundation for a stronger, more reliable future that our community deserves.”
Starting today, buyers in the US can order bikes on the YT website. Technical support is also being offered again through “an all-new Customer Care team.”
A check of the YT website in the US after the relaunch shows that builds for popular models, including the Jeffsy and Capra, are available in most sizes and multiple colorways. The site says in-stock bikes ship within 5-7 business days with a $125 delivery fee.
COVID-related supply chain issues led the brand to struggle financially
In July 2025, Singletracks reported that YT had entered into a “self-administrated legal restructure” due to financial problems. The brand blamed a glut of inventory fueled by private-equity investments at a time when competing brands had a similar oversupply of bikes, leading to brutal discount wars. At the same time, Flossman said the brand ran into quality-control issues with a key supplier and also blamed US trade policies.
YT Industries Germany continued operations during the restructuring, but on November 1, 2025, it became clear YT Industries USA would be shuttered. The brand’s showrooms in California and Arkansas closed abruptly, and for a time it was unclear if existing YT customers would have access to warranty support. Shortly thereafter, Jenson USA began selling YT bikes at massively discounted prices, again with questions surrounding how warranties would be handled, if at all.
By mid-November, Flossmann announced he had formed a new company, Young Talent Industries GmbH. A representative for YT confirmed at the time that Young Talent Industries GmbH would service North American customers, though the bikes remained unavailable for sale directly from the company until now.
