Finding a good bike storage spot can be a challenge. We need a place that’s secure, protected from the elements, and ideally accessible so we can grab the bike at a moment’s notice. Not to mention, bikes tend to take up a lot of space.
Got back from a day trip yesterday and only brought up most of my dirty clothes. Left dirty bike, sweaty gloves, helmet, backpack and goggles in the car. Came down to go to work at 3:30 and car stunk so bad I had to take a different car to work. So needless to say I will not be storing bike in car. I suspect my wet shoes were the biggest problem.
Got these bike hangers for about $35 each, and even for someone with virtually no real world skills, I was able to bolt in a piece of wood to the wall to even more securely mount the racks onto, which was lucky, as it meant my 780mm bars do not touch the wall. Plus, this wall is across from the kitchen so when I am prepping food, get to look at my bikes! The wet bar next to it has been converted to a bike bar storing all accessories, etc.
My bikes are enjoying run of the house.
Mountain bikes are family. Family sleeps inside.
In my workshop
You have a wokshop?
I have 5 bikes in my basement, 2 in the garage, and 1 on the work stand in my living room.

great idea, let’s all tell the thieves of the world where to look for our bikes.
hung up in my basement, with the other bikes
My bikes live in my basement – our garage is detached otherwise they’d live in there
Under the house.
