If you’re looking for an affordable MIPS helmet, Triple Eight recently announced availability for the Brainsaver II, which will retail for just $74.99. Many companies are charging that much as a premium for the MIPS upgrade for their regular helmets!
We haven’t been hands on (or rather, heads in) with the Brainsaver II, but from the looks of it, this might not be the best choice for summer riding due to the minimal venting. The skate-style helmet isn’t for everyone but then again, if you’re looking to be extra safe without spending a ton of coin, this helmet is certainly worth a look!
