The Canfield Yelli Screamy Hardtail Returns

The Canfield Yelli Screamy 29er hardtail mountain bike is back with modern geo, internal dropper post routing, and three water bottle mounts.

Canfield Bikes, based out of Fruita, Colorado has brought back the Yelli Screamy, an aluminum hardtail 29er, introducing it to the brand’s modern catalog. The new Yelli Screamy has more reach, a 65.5° headtube angle (with a 130mm fork) and short 424mm chainstays.

The bike also gets internal dropper post routing (though the other cables are external), Boost spacing between the chainstays, and room for three water bottle mounts.

“The original Yelli was the 29er that we wanted to ride,” said Lance Canfield in a press release. “It didn’t exist, so we built it.”

The Yelli Screamy first debuted in 2011, and according to the brand, it was the first 29er with sub-17-inch chainstays and more aggressive geometry.

A size medium has 450mm of reach, an 1,181mm wheelbase, a 65.5° HTA, and 77° STA.

Canfield has tried to keep the spirit of the original bike in the new generation, and they say it’s great for anything from stacking on miles to riding pump tracks or even bikepacking.

The Yelli Screamy is available in Orange Dreamcycle, Purple Haze, Slate Train, and Blue It powder coat finishes. The bike is available in sizes S, M, L, and XL. Frame options start at $799 and complete bikes start at $4,000. Canfield expects deliveries to start happening in January 2022.
