went to take a look at the bike yesterday after work.looks like its a 03 fuji police patrol bike.heres the link http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/Bike … del=Police Patrol&Type=bike
its looked like it was in good shape. brakes worked but they werent disk, the top frame bar was spray painted to cover the h.p.d decals, it still had the lil basket thing in the back with a bag that said police on it, ant for some reason the bike said gt on the side and not fuji. ima get it friday so if any one thinks i shouldnt please let me know now.
there building some ant hills on the north east beltway.
good cause i thought i would be wierd if i didnt wear any. 😆
yea that would have shut me up
cool thanx for the info. 😆
i guess theres no way around it i better start saving.
ok. now asfar as the frame. what makes it a good frame or a bad frame? i know weight is one but what else. and the components the bike i did get at wal mart it had shima components. but then i got a quasar pacifica bike used and noticed the difrence. i think the pacifica is a cheep bike too but i have had no problems with that bike exept for i noticed the crank was bent a little. so ima get a new one of those.
ok i hate to sound like a cheep as guy. but let me ask this. if i get the wally mart bike can i just upgrade the components slowly one by one and end up with a ok bike for trails? or will i end up with bad ass components on a dookie stick? cause most of those bikes cost more than my car. 😆
see i dont get it. some people say mongoose is a good brand. does walmart make there own seperate mongoose brand? cause i did go to the mongoose web site and tried to look it up and i didnt find that bike there. but i thought it was maybe an older model but it would still be good. i mean im still learning bout bikes but i figured the components on this perticular walmart bike was good. i did but a walmart bike before it was my first and the only problems i had were that the brakes sucked so bad. im just a beginer i dont ride hardcore thru trails yet but il do hope to get that good.
its on walmarts website
memorial park gots some good trails.
its a shimano crank.
thanks you guys.
"droc" wrotehow much are you looking to spend?
well i hate to sound cheep but i see some of your bikes on here cost a "g" plus. thats way out of my price range. i really only want to spend like $150 or so but i can only pay like $300 max. i figured i could get a good hard tail bike and slowly upgrade.
