I may have misunderstood you. If so, sorry in advance. I always get download and upload confused. 😳

Hmm, the question sounds a little vague. That, or I’m just still waking up.

If you want to upload the map to the singletracks.com database, for a specific trail of course, then you would have to do the following.

      1) Go to the designated trail that you want the map to represent.
      2) On the right side of the screen you will see MTB Trail Dashboard, with tons of links, click More Actions and click Add GPS Data.
      3) By doing this, it will ask you to submit a GPX formatted data. (if your GPS data is anything else, you can use this to convert it)

If you want to upload maps to your Garmin Edge GPS (meaning maps that you have access to through singletracks) then this will help explain it.

And if all is still lost, or I didn’t hit the nail on the head, then hopefully this link can help you out. Also at the bottom it’s got an e-mail link that can use to ask questions.

First, you’ll need to get the maps from your GPS to your computer, and they will most likely be in a proprietary format that is not GPX, which is what most websites utilize.

The connection between GPS and computer will most likely be USB or Bluetooth, and it should come with it’s own software for transferring.

Next to convert it to GPX format you will need GPS Babel which can convert from and to just about any GPS file format in existence. You can download it here.

[Edit] To your direct question, after this step, they are ready to be uploaded to Singletracks as well.[/Edit]

Finally, you can upload it to the internet so that you can see it graphically on a map, with elevation profiles and the like. I use three websites for this, and I like different things about each one, feel free to experiment.

The first two allow you to embed your trip report on your own blog or website, the third one is good for "quick and dirty" analysis.

A couple of side notes, if you want to edit the GPX file to remove parking lot wandering or if you forget to turn it off after your ride, you can use GPX Editor

You can also do some interesting things with your GPS track in Google Earth, specifically 3D tracks like this.
