Thinking about a trip to Snow Hill (Little Big Econ) this weekend. Anyone know if the trailhead and trails are back open? A trail review indicated it had been temporarily closed back on Sept. 15th. I called the forest service and they knew nothing about closures.

The trails were very wet and muddy in some spots (perhaps due to the 4+" of rain on Thursday) but overall very fun. A few areas are completely submerged and there are many dead ends near the river unless you want to navigate knee-deep water/mud. The boardwalk across the river is completely under water.

Conditions have improved a ton since Fay rolled through….. I was able to ride many more trails compared to about a month ago. Lots of people were out today riding. Parking lot was damn near filled at the Snow Hill entrance.
