Greetings, all, I’m going to be buying a Fox fork next week, and I have narrowed my choices down to two models, the Float 150 RLC and the Fox 36 Van. My rear shock now is a Van R and has served me very well. The Float RLC retails for 780 dollars Jenson and for a limited time I can get the Van fork for only 9 dollars more. It’s retail price is normally 950 dollars saving me approximately 20%. I’m leaning towards the Van for matching suspension, but I do rather like the look of the Float, it being white and matching my bike’s colour scheme. Does anyone here have any thoughts or opinions?

Can’t speak for the Van, but just got a new Float RLC w/FIT & Kashima (see here: viewtopic.php?f=81&t=6069 ) It’s a really bad ass fork. It’s way smooth and has so little deflection. It’s really light, mine is Float 32, 140mm travel and it’s under 4lbs. I think you’ll probably save almost a pound with the Float compared to the Van.

I have never used the Van either, but I have an RL 120 Remote and I LOVE it. It’s light years better than the Marzocchi I had before.

Thanks guys I appreciate the input. Considering my bike already weighs a lot (I’m thinking 45 pounds), saving 1 or so pounds doesn’t really concern me considering my legs are decently strong. I decided after much mulling to go with the Van. Considering how well my rear shock performs I wanted matched suspension (always been a thing with me for some reason). I’ve read many reviews of both forks, Float RLC and the Van and from what I see the Van just seems to do more of what I need (mostly travel, 160mm). Also, literally as I typed this thread out, the Van’s price was lowered another 40 dollars, cheaper than the Float RLC. That was really the deciding factor. Thanks again, all!

Sounds like a pretty sweet deal. I love Jenson!
