I am really having a hard time finding a trainer, seems every review I read turns me off. I don’t want to spend more than 200 dollars, would like some different resistance levels, not too loud, and of course quality. I will be using my road bike on the trainer. Have any recommendations?

I have a Blackburn Ultra for my road bikes. It might have been closer to 300 but you may find a deal. It’s an excellent trainer that has varying resistance and is quiet. It uses what they call Centriforce resistance (a centrifugal clutch) as opposed to magnetic, cheap fluid, and cheaper fans. It gives you a very "realistic" feel and responds to the acceleration and coasting better than others. It also accomodates MTB tires and can lower the rear wheel to about 1/4 inch from the ground (so you aren’t pitched forward or using a book under the front tire).

      Hope this helps…
