Is it too hot to ride Tsali in August??

We are thinking about heading to NC for vacation this summer with the trip revolving around riding the various trails around W. NC and N. Ga. I have been up there numerous times in the fall but never in the summer and am wondering if it is going to be too hot to Mtn bike up there at this time of year.
I live in Houston so heat and humidity are relative but I know that down here you mtn biking in august is pretty miserable.

I would really appreciate any constructive feedback or comments from any locals or anyone who has ridden there in august.
