Pavement? WTF! The last time I was on Hatcher Pass it was a dirt trail. OK, that was almost forty years ago, so I guess things may have changed.
Funny, last time I was there was for a hang-glider competition. Don’t see those much any more.
Anyway, looks like a blast!

fleetwood, lift passes = the price of gas + your car payment/rental 😉
bonkedagain, There is one paved road leading off the Davis HWY round Hatchers Pass but most are still dirt paths. If you haven’t been up to AK in forty years, you wouldn’t recognize much up here. There are 4 lane HWYs up there and stop lights now! 😆
