Hey guys I’m a rookie to mountain biking, I live in Conifer, CO and I’m curious to see if anyone knows of any decent trails that may dry up a little quicker than Green Mountain. It’s been a real mud ball over the last few weeks, and I’m looking for something a little drier and more technical between Littleton and Buffalo Creek.

Most everything in the area is gonna’ have show/ice/mud, at least on the shady, north-facing sides of the trails.

Since you’re a rookie, this may be a bit beyond you, but Dakota Ridge dries out frequently during the winter.

You may have to drive a little further than you want, but there’s often good conditions on Devil’s Backbone between loveland and Ft Collins and there’s a great little rookie trail (fairly easy but still fun) called Hidden Mesa just outside Castle Rock–it’s mesa-top and exposed so it dries out quickly as well. All have reviews on this site.
