I’ve been looking at bikes for a while now, mainly the basic 26" hardtails (previous post, Cannondale and Giant). But I have come across the Niner brand through a local bike shop that sells them and I thought I’d check out to see what they have in my price range. The E.M.D 9.
I’m just wondering what people have to say about Niner. They’re a newer company from what I’ve gathered but seem to have the 29’er down.
Are their frames solid? Do they come with a life time warranty like Cannondale and Giant?
Any info would be great!
Thanks!

I have no first hand knowledge of 29"ers or this brand. The folks I know that ride 29"ers all love them. The reviews I read on E.M.D. 9 seemed to be very good. However when I looked it seemed the price of $500 was for the frame only.

I have an ’08 Niner Rip 9 and it is by far the best bike I have ever owned. The frame is rock solid and responsive. I’m not sure about frame warranty but you can get on the http://www.ninerbikes.com and check them out. As far as 29" bikes go I really believe theya re the best. They make 29ers not 26" bikes modified to fit a 29" tire. I have ridden a couple other 29ers and there really is no comparison.
Last I saw there were a couple Niners on eBay and also check out http://www.mtbr.com for deals.

The warranty is only 2 years. I just bought a new frame and I narrowed it down to a Specialized and Niner frame and went with the Specialized frame based mostly on the warranty issue.
