It’s always exciting to hear about a new mountain bike trail opening, and June was a big month for ribbon cuttings around the world. Here are half a dozen new mountain bike trails that opened in the past 30 days.

Did we miss a mountain bike trail opening in your community? Let us known in the comments or drop us an email with info about the trail. We’d also love to see your photos and hear your reviews, so be sure to click the links in the headings below to access the Singletracks trail page.

Tannery Knobs (Johnson City, TN)

This 40-acre bike park opened last month with 3.7 miles of singletrack on land donated to the city. SORBA Tri-Cities and IMBA’s Trail Solutions worked to build the trail using both volunteer and professional labor.

Quigley Loop (Hailey, ID)

This 4.2-mile trail starts in Quigley Canyon on the east side of Hailey, and is said to be a bit wider than a standard singletrack trail to make it easy for users to pass one another.

South Rockdale Community Park (Conyers, GA)

Mountain bikers have been riding at South Rockdale Community park for years, though there wasn’t much singletrack officially open to bikes. MTB Atlanta basically scrapped what was there and opened three brand new loops at the park, including an advanced section with steep and rocky (but short) descents and a rockin’ flow trail.

McClellan Mountain Bike Trail (Anniston, AL)

McClellan sits on the site of a former military facility, and the 6 miles of new trail were designed with NICA racing and events in mind. All of the trails are said to be beginner-friendly, making it a great place for young athletes to learn and race.

Woven Wire MTB Park (Danville, KY)

The Woven Wire MTB park may not offer a lot of mileage (1.5 miles) but it’s a welcome amenity in a community where previously mountain bikers had few, if any, options nearby.

Black Creek Mountain Bike Park (Hoover, AL)

The Black Creek Mountain Bike Park has 5 miles of trails laid out in three loops: Black Creek (beginner), Black Ridge (intermediate), and Creekview (intermediate).

Have you ridden any of these brand new mountain bike trails? If so, let us know what you thought of them in the comments and share your photos too!
