MRP Ramp Control has been around for a little while already, but now it has a big brother, Ramp Control PRO.
Ramp Control started as a way to adjust volume spacing on the go. Rather than pulling the air cap off on the trail, and taking out or putting in a volume spacer, it allows riders to simply twist a dial before dropping into a steeper trail.
Ramp Control PRO
Now, MRP has upped the ante with Ramp Control PRO. It’s similar to the original Ramp Control, but with a threaded bottom interface so you can mount up more of MRP’s Huck Puck volume spacers, that are found in some of their other forks.
Adding this interface allows the rider to set a baseline air-spring curve, and then Ramp Control lets riders adjust high-speed and end stroke performance. Ramp Control PRO is priced at $160.
MRP Raven
MRP also has a new fork out, called the Raven. The Raven trades some adjustability found on their other forks for a better price. It’s available for both wheel sizes, in a 44mm offset for 27.5-inch bikes, and a 46 or 51mm offset for the 29-inch fork.
The Raven has the same chassis as the popular Ribbon fork, but loses Ramp Control and uses Huck Pucks instead. It also has a simplified damper and loses the pressure relief valves on the lowers. The stanchions are 35mm in diameter and the fork keeps the forward-facing arch. Externally, the Raven has an 8-position low-speed compression and rebound adjustment.
The 27.5-inch fork is available in 140, 150, 160, and 170mm travel. In the 29-inch size it’s available in a 120, 130, 140, 150, and 160mm travel. The Raven costs $800, compared to the $989 Ribbon.
