We had hoped to uncover some interesting differences in brand and product preferences based on gender, region, and riding experience but to our surprise, there really wasn’t much to report. Perhaps the strongest regional differences were found in bike brand preferences (shown at the top of the graphic) but those really only showed up in 3rd through 5th places. I guess this internet thing really does reach all around the world, keeping us all up to speed on the latest and greatest MTB gear! Or maybe it’s just the hive mind in action. 🙂

-Cane Creek comes in a distant second to Fox on the shock brand list, but the Cane Creek DB Air dominates as the best single shock.
-Pearl Izumi was only voted the 5th-best shoe company, yet the X-Project makes the top of the list as the best single pair of shoes.
-Fox wins as the best fork brand, but none of the Fox forks come anywhere close to the RockShox Pike.
