This new 24+ wheel size is debuting on the new Riprock kids bike. According to Specialized,

“The Riprock is a real mountain bike for little kids and delivers all the swagger they want, minus the fear. With its ultra-wide tires for great traction and stability, they’ll feel like they can tackle anything on the trail, and thanks to that confidence their skills will improve ride after ride. With plenty of features to ensure they stay safe while they explore their abilities and hone those skills—including disc brakes for reliable stopping, trail-taming suspension fork, grip shifters, and a lightweight frame—the Riprock is a bike that will put the fun back into growing up.”

The Riprock will come stock with all-new 2.8″ 24+ tires, dubbed the “Big Roller.” The bikes will also feature an aluminum frame, a 1x drivetrain with grip shifters for simple, intuitive shifting, disc brakes, and other kid-sized equipment.

As for the prices, the Riprock is a quality bike, but it won’t break the bank. It’s available in 4 different build levels ranging from $450 to $1,000.
