Giant has a new option out for their trail bike, the Trance, and it includes bigger wheels.

Giant will keep 27.5-inch wheels on some Trance models, but for those who crave more rollover capability, then they’ll also have the option to buy the Trance in a 29er package.

The Giant Trance 29 is quite the departure from the previous 27.5 model. The Trance 29 comes with a 115mm travel frame and either a 130mm Fox or DVO fork.

A 66.5-degree head angle, 74.5-degree seat angle, and 435mm chainstays make up the angles of the bike.

2019 numbers for the 650B version aren’t up yet, but the 2018 model was based off 150mm and 140mm of front and rear travel, respectively, and a 73.5-degree seat angle and a 67-degree head angle.

The Trance 29 will come in an alloy model with a Fox 34 fork, Giant Contact dropper post, SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain and SRAM Guide T brakes. MSRP for the Trance 29 2 is $3,040.

At the top end, buyers can get the Trance Advanced Pro build with a carbon front and alloy rear triangle, with a DVO Sapphire fork, DVO Topaz rear shock, SRAM X01 Eagle drivetrain and Guide RSC brakes. MSRP for the Trance Advanced Pro 29 0 is $8,300.

Alloy models in certain sizes are available on the Giant website to buy now, with carbon models expected to be available soon.
