About this trail
This route will take you from the beginning of the Trabuco trail head to Yeager Mesa. The Yeager Mesa trail is a fun single-track located off Bell Ridge in the Cleveland National Forest. This trail offers steep, loose technical descents with awesome scenery. When riding this trail, staying with the bike is the challenge. Several steep, loose and long chutes will challenge your riding skills while testing your courage. If you are not familiar with the area, accessing this trail is difficult. Please download the GPS data and use a GPS device to locate the Yeager Mesa trail-head. Bring plenty of water and expect to climb 3200 feet with several large hike-a-bike sections. Lots of poison oak on lower Trabuco and Yeager trails. Be sure to scrub down with Tecnu or similar products after finishing the ride. Knee/elbow pads also recommended.

Review: Interesting trail. This was my first time on Bell or Yeager. It was more rideable than I thought but their we're definitely section I walked both uphill and downhill. It has a nice view on the Mesa. It's worth checking out once. However I love bombing down Trabuco and prefer the flow of the trail and getting some speed. Yeager is REALLY tight and steep. I recommend you make sure your break pads and brakes are in tip top condition befor making this journey.

Similar Trail: Upper Joplin.

Review: The bridge has been removed, however. It is still possible to cross the ravine. A fallen tree below the mesa is blocking one of the long chutes.
