Mountain Biking Willow Trail (Trail 347)

*****   Add a review
#179 of 404 mountain bike trails in Arizona
#5,900 in the world

A fast, flowing downhill (with sweet, lofty rollers if you want some bonus air time) located in the Granite Basin area NW of Prescott. It is one of the local favorites. The change in elevation is about 750 ft over 1.6 miles. Due to the fun network of trails located in the basin, riders can lengthen their ride pretty easily, with a variety of choices in difficulty.

Getting there
The trail can be accessed from either end. From its intersection with Iron Springs Road, travel north on Williamson Valley Road for 6.4 miles to the sign for the Williamson Valley Trailhead. Turn left to access the parking area. There is ample parking for horse trailers and regular vehicles. To reach the smaller southern trailhead, take Williamson Valley Road 1.5 miles from its intersection with Iron Springs Road to Burnt Ranch Road. Turn left and go one block to Hozoni Road. Turn right and travel two blocks to Katahn Road. Turn left and proceed 0.4 miles to the junction of Katahn and Yeibitchai Road. Continue straight ahead for 0.1 miles to the trailhead on the right. Parking is fair.

Super fun! Beautiful foliage, some climbing to get to the descent, but once the downhill begins, there's nothing but flow. Love this trail!
