Q: There seems to be a ton of trails on both sides of the river near the university. Are you meaning only the one off Gainsborough going around one side of the river to Wychwood and does that mean forget the rest of them? For instance, on the other side of the river there is some kind of trail near the Elsie Perrin Williams Estate (Medway Valley Heritage Forest). -gfinale

A: good trails on both sides and all the way up to fanshawe park and sunnningdale rd

Review: Snow on trails well packed from hikers and a few other fat tires . Some ice in sections but in most cases better than its condition in summer .

Review: Numerous trees and branches down blocking paths in areas due very high winds over the past few days . Ever changing terrain caused by high flood waters again makes it a different ride every time

Review: High river has once again receded a bit leaving great rough terrain to tackle on fat bike . Some areas still flooded . Lots of river sand on the banks

Review: Light dusting of snow with -2c , no wind in the bush. Combined western trails with north and south side ditch trails of the Thames up towards fanshawe lake. Great run with new additions each time

Review: If we're talking Medway Valley Heritage Forest, the north side at Ryersie and Windermere was signed no bikes. The south side at the end of Gainsborough was marked riding on main areas which were mostly paved, some crushed gravel and bits of dirt forest. Not really true mountain biking even for a beginner. Were we in the right area or where else is there?!
