Trail Description
About this trail
This is the best riding on Cape Cod period. The best stuff is through the woods, its mostly single trail with some fast little down hill sections and excellent little climbs that just flows together. Its got some pretty technical sections. As far as length, i spent the summer riding out there and i didn't cover all the possible trail combinations. Also there is a chance you could get turned around and somewhat lost but its all part of the fun(unless its getting dark of course). Anyways anyone up in that part of the woods its definitely worth checking out. Oh by the way there is a gun range next to the trails don't be alarmed, after all i'm here to write about it . Oh also this trail is LEGAL to ride on!!!!!

Review: West Barnstable Mountain Bike Trails in Cape Cod were totally fun. We took a trip up to Cape Cod in Massachusetts to get some beach time with the great whites. The swimming actually turned out to be pretty good. Calm clear waters that weren't totally freezing. And for the first time ever - we discovered some great mountain bike trails. MTB in Cape Cod? Yep. And it was fun as shit too. We were focused on West Barnstable and the Trail of Tears. There's a North and South side to that trail. Both are seriously good. If you like short tough ups with rocks and roots and extended technical downs - this place is for you. We rode it in the clockwise direction from the shooting range lot. There are also a bunch of miles of greens and blues out there to ride as well. Those are a little wider and pine needle covered with elevation up and down, but not as punchy and fast as the blacks. Bring your fat bikes and check them out next time you're beachin' in cape cod.

Review: I had fun riding here today. It was second time riding here and I got lost. I should brought a map but what fun would that be. Easy single track up to some some pretty technical stuff; roots, rocks and pretty tough short up hills. I'm a climber and I had to get off my bike a couple of times. Lots of fun today and a pretty good place to ride. Thanks to those who do the trail maintenance... wish it was marked a bit better but whatever.... did the red dot and Stonehenge?, trails...

Review: Take it with a grain of salt. This place was super easy and would be well suited for a cross bike. I think if I had gone with a guide I may have rated things a bit differently. After I got back to my car I saw that I didn't really head in the fun direction towards trail of tears which was my main objective. Oh well. Still good to get out and pedal none the less!

Review: Lack of weed waking and trail markers are very very rare. There are countless side trails that are not on the map which makes you just have to guess where to go.

Review: Finally got to riding the much hyped trail of tears as some call it. Unfortunately my ride was cut short by t-storms, but I was able to cover a little more than 10 miles of generally really fun single track. Overall, not overly challenging but definitely some fun up and downs. Can't wait to explore more of it!

Some have said this is the best place to ride on the Cape. To each their own, and I should probably ride more of it before making a final opinion, but I think Otis/Crane is an overall better ride.

Review: Great area, some really mixed terrain for the Cape - Great rocky sections, but really easy to stick with some easier/flowier sections if you so desire. Markers at most intersections, but they don't help a whole lot unless you have the map.
