Mountain Biking Webb Peak

****   Add a review
#221 of 401 mountain bike trails in Arizona
#7,572 in the world

Starts as a very tough and rocky climb to the peak, about 1.5 miles. Expect to push your bike at least 1/4 of the way. When the trail splits to the peak or right thru to Ash Creek, take the fork towards Ash Creek, right. Here you'll find steep descents and lots of downfall across the trail. Expect climbing around and under trees, hasn't had maintenance in decades. Parts of this trail are beautiful with moss covering the ground and rocks. Very shady trail in deep forest. When you get to Ash Creek it's .6 mile to the top. It is a shuttleable trail to the valley 5000' below. Expect downfall. Loop is 4 miles.

Very tough short loop. Not for the timid. Steep climbs and descents, hike-a-bike. Doesn't look like anyone has been here. Lush vegetation, lots of raspberries. Loop is 3.3 miles. In 2015 trail maintenance has cleared a path thru lots of down fall.
