Getting there
Go north out of Mount Vernon on N 2nd Street (which will turn into N 4th Street). Then, turn right onto College Street (which is also Washington 538). Eventually, the road will dead-end into Washington Highway 9. Turn right onto 9, and turn left onto Walker Valley Road along the shores of Big Lake. Next, quickly turn right at the end of the road to stay on Walker Valley Road. Next, look out for Peter Burns Road and turn right onto it once you reach it. Eventually, the big dirt parking lot of the trailhead will appear on your left.
