Regional park on the coast, amazing views from the ridge over the Firth of Thames to Coromandel. It takes some effort to get up there but it is worth it! Great adventure ride to tick off.

The Waharau Regional Park is set in a beautiful coastal area on the east side of the Hunua Ranges with great views out over the Firth of Thames to the Coromandel Peninsular. It's a pleasant out-of-the-way refuge for camping, walking, swimming and riding. The mountain bike tracks are not world beaters but make for varied and interesting riding.
