Mountain Biking Varley's
#35 of 40 mountain bike trails in New Zealand
Varley's zig-zags up from the top of Makara Road towards the Makara Peak highpoint. A strong rider will be able to ride up it - the corners are the hardest bits, but the Supporters started building berms on them in 2001. The track is a good test of your switchback riding skills. Named after Gareth Varley.
Built by J'Ville Cycles in 1998/1999.
