About this trail
Updated status, 7/14/14, by Bubblehead10MM:
The trail formerly known as TNT has been rerouted, into a more sustainable, ridable trail. Most of it is Bobcat bench cut, with very steep parts, and flowy stretches. Uphill only for bikes, on a nice day will meet walkers coming down. This is still a killer climb!

Review: Nothing special here, except that it allows you to park at lower Hixon and ride up to HPT. Also a good leg burner as long as you don't granny the whole way up

Review: The new Rotary Vista is now open to downhill bike traffic. There are also some interesting side trails that are more technical than the double wide regular trail. Look for them.

Review: The rerouted TNT trail, now called "Rotary Vista", is a longer, smoother, gradual climb. It's still a leg burner. I recommend you take a right at the intersection towards the top and check out the amazing overlook of La Crosse! Heavily used trail on the weekend. Yes, it is uphill only... I did not see any signs saying so, yet... I did read they are looking to eventually have a downhill section for mountain bikes. The only other way down is to take the road. I recommend it. It's a fun little climb!

Review: The trail formerly known as TNT is reopened under name of Rotary Vista. This is totally rerouted, and most of tnt reclaimed. Vista is wide, untechnical not counting some Steeps, climbing 500 ft in 2.5 miles. Super cool way to get up to HPT. Not realy fun, more of a thing to acomplish. There's a great vista if you take a R where the trail hits a T with a single track part.

Review: One heck of a up hill climb with big roots and rocks. I would recommend going on a crappy day when it isn't so busy otherwise you end up running into people walking dogs and taking up the whole trail. Going down it is completely worth the climb!!

Review: The climb- a typical quarry road for the area, but not overgrown or vegetated. Very painful, and it really makes you consider driving to the top. Rest up by riding HPT (hah) and then blast downhill. big brakes and big suspension would be preferred, because the big rocks you fought on the way up will launch you on the way down. the worst part- I want to return to give it another try before they close it down. works great if you want to train on a big hill

Review: This is a steep hill that is super rocky and technical. It's either an arduous climb or a riotous descent--or both.

Review: Climb, climb, and climb some more. Deep ruts, large limestone rocks, huge roots. The climb was around 1 mile according to my bike's computer but it's a STEEP 1 mile. I highly recommend hitting HTP when you get to the top, or turn around and go to the right about half way down and hit the Bluff Trails.
