Mountain Biking Sinkhole

  Add a review
#167 of 532 mountain bike trails in North Carolina
#4902 in the world

This is a burly trail that features steep descents, several log/tree crossings (some rideable), several rock gardens and just general fun, fast, technical descending. A stream crossing at the bottom brings you back out to Craig Creek Rd. This trail is named for a 30 ft. deep sinkhole that is in the middle of the trail. It is jumpable but has a wide ride around available, too.

Before you go
  • No Drinking water
  • No E-bikes permitted
  • No Fat biking allowed in winter

Getting there
There is a parking area with a forest service gate at the top of Craig Creek Rd. Ride through the gate and follow the dirt road for approximately 2 miles. Trail will be on the right and will immediately go up for approximately 75 yards.
