Mountain Biking Sand Gulch
#724 of 1,379 mountain bike trails in Colorado
Sand Gulch is a 4x4 road that begins in the Pinon Hills subdivision, loops around and then up the mountain, junctioning with the end of the Double Rainbow trail and climbing all the way up to an intersection with the Rainbow trail. Alternatively, this is a key connection allowing riders to descend from the Rainbow Trail and to access the lower Methodist Mountain Trail System.
This is a washed out, loose, sandy doubletrack 4x4 trail, but it makes for a high-speed raucous descent when dropping down from the rainbow trail!
